fees a year, under a European Union plan. The plan will free  businesses from  certain
requirement in the EU  Company Law Directive.

In United Arab Emirates
Minister for Trade, Investment and Small Business Lord Davies is heading a 70 member
small and medium size business, trade delegation in the United Arab Emirates. The UK SMEs
are searching for opportunities to  increase bilateral trade by more than 50% in the next five
years.

VAT Returns - Online Only From April 1
With less than three weeks to go, the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) wants small
and medium sized businesses to ensure they are ready to file Vat returns online. From April 1,
businesses with an annual turnover of £100,000 or more and all newly VAT registered
businesses will have to submit returns electronically.

A Yorkshire Group may be loosing its bid for European protected status for the regions
Yorkshire pudding. The European Commission is yet to rule on the bid, but  according to an
